Join us at Livingston Bay to remove invasive blackberry. Himalayan blackberry is an invasive plant that requires removal since it competes for resources with native species. Technique involves cutting thorny shoots then digging out the root wads- requires some physical strength.
We will be outside for the entirety of the event and will require being on your feet for extended periods of time and bending down. This event is suitable for most ages.
Date: Saturday, September 23rd
Time: 10am-1pm
Where: Livingston Bay, Camano Island
Livingston Bay is located on Camano Island, exact meeting location will be shared prior to the event.. Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to and from the preserve.
