Seed Sorting Part

  • The Nature Conservancy in Washington 74 Wall Street Seattle, WA, 98121 United States (map)

Have an eye for detail? Join TNC Washington for a volunteer opportunity to assist with a research project by sorting seeds from TNC’s Ellsworth Preserve in southwestern Washington, learn more TNC Washington’s science work from a couple of staff on our science team, and connect with other volunteers and TNC staff.

This event will take place indoors at the TNC office in Belltown and is open to new and existing volunteers with an interest in sorting teeny tiny tree seeds and getting more involved with The Nature Conservancy. All supplies and training will be provided - you do not need to be a botanist or plant expert to participate!

Dinner and beverages will be provided. This event is suitable for volunteers 12 & up, who have attention to detail, a desire to learn, and would enjoy spending an hour or two looking at small seeds and chatting with other TNC volunteers. All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

This event has limited spots and requires registering using the form below in order to attend.

Accessibility: The TNC office is ADA accessible and offers gender neutral restrooms. If you have questions or need additional accommodations, please email wavolunteer@tnc.org

There is metered street parking in the area. If possible, prioritize taking public transit.

1/22/24 UPDATE: This event is sold out. This event will be a reoccurring event - stay tuned for additional seed sorting parties. Thank you.
