Orca Recovery Day Tree Planting at Longfellow Creek

What: Join King Conservation District, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seattle Public Utilities on Puget Sound Orca Recovery Day to enhance Longfellow Creek, one of four salmon bearing streams in Seattle, by removing invasive plant species that threaten the health of our waterways.

Longfellow Creek suffers from degraded water quality, negatively affecting coho and other salmon species that utilize the creek. Creating healthy streamside habitat will support salmon populations, which in turn, will support our local orcas! Come out and support this restoration project in your community!
