Swauk Creek Ranch and The Nature Conservancy invite you out to the “intersection” of the Eastern Cascades and the Columbia Plateau, for a day of great views, good company, and ranch stewardship benefiting wildlife. Easements across Swauk Creek Ranch protect a medley of habitats from riparian corridors to conifer/oak woodlands to grasslands, which serve as refuge and breeding grounds for a diverse suite of resident and migratory species. This project targets the removal of fence lines affected during the 2012 Taylor Bridge Fire, which pose a major hazard to the movement of animals across the property’s uplands. Your efforts will be valuable to sustaining the function of Swauk Creek Ranch as a passageway and residence to area wildlife.
