TNC Bird Challenge

Calling all birders!

Join this special opportunity for TNC supporters: you are invited to participate in the 2019 TNC Bird Challenge! This event is a worldwide Nature Conservancy challenge to count as many species of birds as possible within one day. You’ll have an opportunity to visit one of seven TNC preserves in Washington State. Each location will be accompanied by a knowledgeable staff or volunteer. Birders of all levels are encouraged to participate in this special event!

Our Bird Challenge teams in Washington will be competing with other states, provinces and countries where TNC works. Besides being a friendly competition, it’s a great opportunity to help us recognize the avian diversity of the lands and waters we protect. The Bird Challenge will be held at the following preserves:

  1. Fisher Slough (near Conway) from 10:30am-12:30pm

  2. Port Susan Bay from 1:30pm-3:30pm(Full)

  3. Foulweather Bluff from 6:30am-10:00am and 11:00am-3:00pm

  4. Ellsworth Creek Preserve from 9:00am-12:00pm

  5. Moses Coulee Preserve from 8:00am-12:00pm
