We are amazed by the response to this opportunity! Thank you for all the volunteers who have signed up.
Join us for a summer night under the stars counting spotted bats at our scenic eastern Washington preserve. Spotted bats are elusive, and by gathering data on their population in Washington we can be better prepared to respond to the threats of habitat loss and White Nose Syndrome.
Volunteers will walk to one of seven listening stations to pay attention to the low pitched clicks these bats emit as they fly overhead feeding on insects. This activity is fun for volunteers of all ages!
