Last year wildfires struck both the Beezley Hills Preserve in northern Grant County and the McCartney Creek Preserve in Douglas County. The Preserves will be fine but the fences unfortunately won’t regrow on their own. As these fences are necessary to either keep livestock in or more often out of the preserve we need to replace them as soon as is reasonable.
This work will involve moving fencing material to the site, replacing burned wooden posts and restringing or replacing barbed wire. There will also be some metal t-posts that will need to be replace as well. We will also be cleaning up trash throughout the preserve as we go. Join us while we do this work in the fragrant and scenic sagebrush land!
