Nature Nearby - Earth Month Assignment

Each April we celebrate Earth Month by sharing stories created by volunteers, members and staff to inspire others to get outside! We would love to see images/ photo essays by volunteer photographers that answer the question; "How can we connect with nature in your everyday lives?" Here are some examples:

- A favorite tree or lookout
- Spring birds in your local park
- Water Taxi / Ferry Ride
- Flowers in your neighborhood
- A beautiful sunset from home or work
- Parks that you pass by on your commute
- Hikes and walks that are only 30-40 min from Seattle
- An Outdoor meal/picnic experience
- Cooking with local produce/ In season produce
- Napping in the park/hammock
- Bike ride in town/ in neighborhood

If you you would like to submit images or a photo essay please submit before Friday April 20th! Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested! Series or images should have a clear concept that ties to 'nature nearby' and a location we can tag on a local map. Here is a link to examples. (Photo by Leslie Carvitto)
