Speakers spoke of Bill as a role model and friend, as well as a colleague. They reflected on the profound impact that Bill made during his tenure at The Nature Conservancy, helping secure millions of dollars for conservation, recreation, stormwater mitigation, toxic cleanup and forest health projects in every corner of the state More importantly, speakers admired the calm, reasoned approach that Bill brought to his work in spite of at times heated legislative debates
